Neat Idea
I think a forum area for exchanging coupons is great. That said, I haven't even taken the time to use them for about a year now, but I have a question. Back when I *was* using coupons, I was finding that if I printed one from the computer, even directly from the company in question, the stores were not taking them. They explained "coupon fraud" as a reason, but if the manufacturers are giving them out, I think they should have a way to prevent that problem. Anyone else have trouble cashing in coupons that are printed out?

No, I haven't had any problems using coupons printed from the Internet. I have both a laser and an inkmet printer and at first I wondered if it mattered what I used, but both have been taken without any problems.

WELL! hehe
Then it must be my "backwoods" stores... pooh, that would be nice to be able to use them. The first one they refused to honor was for a *free* item I won online and that was *not* very nice to hear. Well maybe it's time to try again then, wonder if they could have actually caught up with the computer age in about a year's time? hmmm....

Hi, Kwils:
The couponing companies have really risen to the problem of printed coupons. If you check out any of our dishes here on the Diner, and look at the Food & Nutrition page for any particular dish, you'll see words (foods - like butter, cream, chicken)that are highlighted with a double-underscore. Those double-underscores indicate on-line coupons available through our arrangement from our Internet couponing affiliate. Just click on any coupon you are interested in, you'll be taken to their website, you register, which installs their coupon printing software, (all info is confidential, no mailing lists), and you can print coupons to your heart's desire.
If you have any problems, just ask here on the Icebox Diner forum, and we'll help you out. :-)

Hi, I'm glad you liked the coupon exchange forum idea; I am ALWAYS getting coupons from stores for products that I don't use, but I'm sure somebody else could use them! So, we thought that having a FREE forum where people could exchange coupons with each other - both manufacturers' coupons and store coupons - would be helpful. I know that some of the couponing forums out there require membership fees or charge a percentage of the face price of the coupons exchanged to make money, but this forum is and will stay FREE.
When we have some more posters, or enough couponing traffic to warrant it, we'll add sub-forums here so people can post manufacturers' coupons in one forum and store coupons (like Shoprite, Albertsons, etc.) in a separate one, but right now it should still be pretty easy for people to find what they want without too much strain.
Enjoy the forums!

Hi, Sadonna:
I know our Coupon partner has a mechanism that enables companies to have a "print & mail" option for coupons on THEIR individual websites (like Weight Watchers', for example). I do not know if they have a mechanism that would allow you to select and print coupons off of the couponing portal here on our site. I will look into it for you and post the answer here when I know more.
