Especially since low-carb seems to be one area the manufacturers have wimped out on in the last year. Michelina's Avantage was an expressly low-carb line that is now being converted to Avantage "Wholesome Menu" (yet) and now stresses the vegetables. Swanson's renamed their Carb-Meter line "Smart Bowls". I have to wonder what impact the name changes had on their sales, if any.
Are people still that spooked by low-carb eating?

Hey, Barb!
When you say "spooked," do you mean are people frightened OF low-carb eating? As in, they think it's too hard or too (literally) tasteless?
If that's the question, I'd say yes, a LOT of people are scared to utilize a low-carb diet for a variety of reasons. There are a lot of doomsayers out there, saying Atkins, et al, is scary bad for you; there are folks who exercise who say that they have trouble fueling their workouts without carbs; and then there are all the people (you run into them in the supermarkets CONSTANTLY, I have no idea why) who say that they lost 20 or 40 or 60 pounds on Atkins "but gained it all right back."
And I know that in the business, a lot of the manufacturers are re-designing their lines, saying that the "low-carb craze is over," although you certainly can't tell by the number of low-carb forums and websites out there!!
